Due to the incoming snow and wind, there will be no afterschool activities in RSU 56 today, 2/23/26. This also includes the DES Cougar Cub After School activities.
Get the fire trucks ready… Wrestling is on their way home with their 4th Championship Title of the season… STATE CHAMPS!
Expect the lights and sirens to roll through Dixfield around 9:15-930pm.
There will be a reception for the team at the high school when we return from February break.

Due to bus driver shortages today, 2/9/2026, a few of our bus runs will be combined this afternoon. The runs for busses 1, 3, 4, and 14 could be approximately 15-20 minutes later than their normal drop off times.

Due to an outside power issue at Dirigo Elementary School we are going to do early dismissal today, 2/4/26 across the entire district. Students will be released at 12:30 today.
There will be NO 21st century program at the Elementary school, and NO middle school wrestling practice today.
Dirigo High School, and Dirigo Middle School will still have after activities as scheduled, but parents will need to bring their students back to the school at those times.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
