Wrestling will begin with team awards in the Library at 5:00pm.
Potluck Meal will begin for all teams and families at 5:30pm.
MVC and Keegan Awards will be in the gym at 6:00pm followed by breaking into teams for individual recognitions and team awards .


It's getting to be that time of year again!
A note regarding Graduation tickets:
As always, seniors will receive their tickets when they receive their Caps & Gowns, the Friday before Graduation week. This will take place on June 5th.
Each senior will receive 8 bleacher and 7 floor tickets (a total of 15 tickets each). In the event additional tickets are able be released for any reason, every effort will be made to ensure they are distributed equally among the graduating students.
All tickets are given directly to the graduating seniors. The choice of who to share their tickets with is entirely theirs.
Any unneeded tickets should be returned to Dianna Dority, Graduation Coordinator, ASAP. She will help reallocate any returned tickets to students seeking additional tickets.
Tickets are required for entry, and must be presented at the door.


Many local scholarship deadlines fall on 5/1, which is coming right up! Please note that 5/1 is also Caring Cougars Day - please plan accordingly to get your scholarship applications submitted timely, as late applications will not be accepted.
Reminder that Seniors can check their emails, the Senior Hub, or at the Guidance Office for information on available scholarships.

Why: To gain confidence, experience outside, and to have fun!

We will do the dinner portion starting at 5:30pm in the SCC. Please bring a potluck dish to share based on the team assignments. The awards portion of the event will begin at 6pm in the gym.



We've got a lot of things happening in our Dirigo Community for athletics coming up!
On Monday and Tuesday 2/16-17 our Nordic Ski team will head to Fort Kent to participate in the State Nordic Ski Races. (no tickets needed)
Our Alpine skiers who co-op with Mt. Valley have both qualified for the Alpine State Shootout (State meet qualifying race) that's being held at Black Mountain on Friday 2/20 (no tickets needed)

Saturday 2/14 we have 9 wrestlers competing in the State Championship hosted by Mattanawcook Academy
Monday 2/16 our Boys Basketball team plays at the Augusta Civic Center at 5:30 PM in a Quarterfinal matchup with Hall-Dale.
Then on Tuesday our Girls Wrestling team heads to Belfast Area High School to represent Dirigo at the Girls Wrestling State Championship.
Tuesday evening brings our Girls Basketball team to the Augusta Civic Center to face off against Maranacook at 5:30pm in the Quarterfinals.
And an additional Congratulations to our Cheering team who for the first time in 7 years, qualified for the state championship which took place last weekend!

Due to bus driver shortages today, 2/9/2026, a few of our bus runs will be combined this afternoon. The runs for busses 1, 3, 4, and 14 could be approximately 15-20 minutes later than their normal drop off times.

Due to an outside power issue at Dirigo Elementary School we are going to do early dismissal today, 2/4/26 across the entire district. Students will be released at 12:30 today.
There will be NO 21st century program at the Elementary school, and NO middle school wrestling practice today.
Dirigo High School, and Dirigo Middle School will still have after activities as scheduled, but parents will need to bring their students back to the school at those times.
