Attention to all Dirigo Juniors & Seniors:
Dirigo High School Junior/Senior Prom is May 4th, 2024 at 49 Franklin in Rumford.
Tickets are on sale until May 1st, 2024. Tickets are $30/each.
Tickets are required for all students attending prom, including guests. Students and/or guests who did not purchase a ticket will not be admitted.
Guests from outside of Dirigo/RSU 56 are allowed as long as they are in high school, or 1-year removed from high school, and are cleared by the superintendent to attend.
Juniors & Seniors should see Ms. Broomhall in Room 208 before school, after school, or between classes to purchase tickets.
Grand March line up is at 6:30pm. Grand March & Photos are from 7:00pm-8:00pm, Prom is from 8:00-11:00pm, Prom royalty will be announced at 10:00pm.
Water and snacks will be available and free to all students who purchase prom tickets.
49 Franklin will also have sodas and non-alcoholic smoothies available for cash purchase.
A professional photographer will present throughout the evening & students will have access to the photos after the event.

Dirigo High School will be offering a credit recovery summer school session from June 24 - 27, 8:30 - 1:00 each of those four days. (Students only need to attend until such time as their work is completed.) Students who are in the credit recovery range are invited to attend to complete their requirements to earn the credits. .
Please note: Spanish is not offered as a summer school credit recovery option. You need to work directly with Miss Broomhall to complete credit recovery for Spanish.

As a reminder, Friday March 15th is a teachers workshop day in RSU56.
Also, The RSU 56 school board approved having an early release on April 8 so families could observe the Solar Eclipse if desired. Student dismissal will be at 11:30 on April 8th, and Staff dismissal will be after the last bus leaves the school.

Pre-K Registration - If you have a child who will be 4 years old by October 15 and you would like to register them for the Pre-K program at Dirigo Elementary School, please contact the school today at 562-4207. We are trying to eliminate our waiting list and potentially plan for a third Pre-K classroom. So please call as soon as possible to register your child.

Due to the extreme flooding, road damages and power outages, RSU 56 will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Therefore, all practices, events and athletic transportation trips have been cancelled/postponed. Any events that are to be rescheduled will be announced once a date has been solidified. Thank you for your continued understanding and support during this time.
