Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! Everyone at Dirigo High School is looking forward to the return of our high school students.
Here is some pertinent information for opening days:
Freshman start tomorrow, Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
Remaining students (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) start on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Cougar Paw/RtI/Activity Period:
Students need to attend the RtI/Activity blocks on Thursday 9/1, Friday 9/2, and Tuesday 9/6. There will be Cougar Paw meetings on Thursday and Tuesday. On Friday 9/2, students should report to Cougar Paw for attendance and then there will be a full school assembly starting at 1:55. Students attending Region 9 should join Cougar Paw and the Assembly upon their return to DHS.
Clarification on Open Campus:
Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman may, with written parental permission, leave school property during lunch.
Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores who are passing all classes may, with written parental permission, leave school property during LL and return as appropriate for their next scheduled class. If students fail to return for their next scheduled class, this privilege may be revoked. Students are responsible for checking the RtI document daily to determine if they have been assigned RtI.
Starting second semester, Freshmen who are passing all of their classes may, with written parental permission, leave campus during lunch. If students fail to return for their next scheduled class, this privilege may be revoked. Students are responsible for checking the RtI document daily to determine if they have been assigned RtI.
Administration has the right to revoke Open Campus privileges.
Laptop Distribution:
Students will receive new laptops this year. Individual student laptops will be issued when all required forms are returned to the main office at DHS.
Activity Period: Seniors will have the option of choosing a Learning Lab during Activity Period; although we do encourage seniors to participate. All other students must attend Activity Period on Thursdays. Activity Period will start on Thursday, September 8. Students will need to fill out the Activity Period form prior to that time.
