Kaeden Swan, would like to thank everyone who participated in the Food Drive for the United Baptist Church of Peru Food Pantry over the past two weeks. Between the four schools that participated (Dirigo Elementary, Dirigo Middle, Dirigo High and Region 9), we collected over 4000 items!!! Dirigo Elementary School alone was able to collect almost 2300 items alone! This means that we helped to restock the shelves of the Pantry and also the Friends of the River Valley donated a check for 1,000 dollars for the Food Pantry. Dirigo Middle School - Ms. Holman & Mr. Hilton's class (because they both brought in a LOT of items)
Dirigo Elementary School - Top was Mrs. Johnson's Class, but the DES PTO has agreed to support a Pizza Party for any class that donated over 150 items, so that would include: Ms. Gammon's Class, Mrs. Pelletier's Class, Ms. Rines' Class, Mrs. Larsen's Class, Mrs. Coulombe's Class, and Mrs. Robbin's Class.
