Below is a list of the events going on at DES over the next few weeks. Please let us know if you have any questions.
January 26-February 6 - Food Drive - This is to support the United Baptist Church of Peru Food Pantry and to help families in need in our community. Items (canned goods, pasta, hand soap, pet food, laundry soap etc) can be sent to school and will be place in boxes in each homeroom. This Drive is taking place at the elementary, middle and high school as well as at Region 9.
February 2 - February 27 - Kindness Challenge - Mr. Swan challenged the students to fill a Kindness buck with paper hearts. Each heart representing an act of kindness that one person did to another here at DES during the month of February.
February 16-20 - February Break - No School
January 12 - March 1 - Pre-K and K registration. If you have a child turning 4 by October 15 and you would like to sign them up for our Pre-K program next year please call the school (562-4207). If you have a child turning 5 by October 15 and you would like to sign them up for Kindergarten for next year please call the school (562-4207). You will be asked to give your name, the child's name, address, telephone number, and child's date of birth.
February 2 - June - School Store Fundraiser. This is a fundraiser where you can support your child's classroom teacher through donations and they can use that to shop for school supplies. There will be a flyer coming home about this.
