Students today will be coming home with a letter inviting Veterans connected to our school community to a Veterans breakfast and assembly on Monday, November 10 (breakfast at 8:30 and the assembly to start around 9:15). Please fill out the form and return it to the school next week. Region 9's Culinary Arts Program will be providing the breakfast again for our Veterans.
Students will also have a fundraiser page that includes two color pages of Cougar Cubs in Boots. If you want to participate in this fundraiser it is 5$ per color page and we invite students to write a message to a Veteran they know or one in general that we will display here at DES. Our goal is to raise $2000 for Operation Reboot which is a local group that is working to support veterans in our community. The students who raise the most (will receive some Operation Reboot Swag). If a student sells both of their color cougars they can request more in the office.
