Dear Parents & Guardians,
DES is exploring providing some tutoring/enrichment sessions during remote learning days. These sessions would be approximately 20-30 minutes in length (depending on the age of the child) and might be in a small group or one on one setting. The sessions would take place over google meets with a staff member at the school. To determine whether this is something that you would be interested in, classroom teachers will be sending home (either electronically or in a letter sent with your child) a short form for you to complete. Please respond to the letter or survey indicating if you are interested in this. Please keep in mind that we do NOT send home devices during remote learning days, so in order to participate you would need access to a device, access to the internet, and access to google meets (like zoom). This will NOT be mandatory for our students. Again at this point we are exploring this as an option (Probably will NOT be available during our next remote learning day), but need your input before we try and move further along in this process. If you have any questions or if you do not receive a letter/survey, please reach out to your child's teacher.
