Twelve Dirigo High School students from Ms. Fletcher's homeroom took part in the community service day and went to the Pine Grove Cemetery in Canton to work with the "Cemetery Ladies" and other volunteers to learn about stone cleaning and to help clean some stones, and work on documenting the layout of the cemetery. During the five hours the students were there, they cleaned 39 stones and learned the proper techniques on how to clean stones and a lot about history in Canton. This group of students did an awesome job giving back to one of the four communities that make up RSU 56.
