Dear students and parents/guardians,

During this time of digital learning, our goal is to maintain student access to books and reading while also maintaining safety for all. Unfortunately during this time, we will be unable to check out books in our normal way. In order to maintain safety for all, we can not be having books going in and out of the school and into multiple homes.

If you have a library card at Ludden Memorial Library, you can check out ebooks from them on their website. The instructions to do so are available here. https://sites.google.com/rsu56.org/deslibrary/cloud-library. Ludden Memorial Library services our four towns. They have an extensive collection of ebooks and audiobooks that can be checked out by anyone with a library card at Ludden Memorial Library. I would highly recommend you use this valuable resource that is available to our towns.

If you do not have access to the internet to check out ebooks and still want to have access to books, please give me a call at (207)562-7552 and we can try and arrange an extended checkout. I would encourage everyone to maintain strong reading habits during this time of remote learning. The following page will also offer several digital resources for selecting text. Reading news articles, listening to audiobooks, and rereading a favorite novel are all great options for reading as well. Stay safe, and keep reading.

Sincerely,

Justin Fisette

TWKDMS Librarian Ed Tech III
